Stella's first cereal feeding was a success in the fact that Brittney and I both put cereal in her mouth...Stella actually eating it, well, that's another story. Brittney and I both got a good laugh out of Stella's displeasure with cereal and our spoon feeding techniques. Take a look at the video...

Love the video!! Not too bad for a first exposure :) If she still does some pushing it out it is probably because she still has a tongue thrust which is fairly normal at this age. Some kids are ready for solids earlier than others. My kids were not quite ready until 5-6 months. If introduced before their mouth muscles are ready they will show that thrust more rather than swallowing it like we would hope. Don't get discouraged though :) She will like it when her mouth is ready for it : ) She is getting so big! Thanks for the update!!! I miss that age :) Although not going back there again!! Two is plenty. I will just continue to live vicariously through others and hold the babies I work with :)
