Stella's almost 20 months

It's hard to belive that Stella is almost 20 months. Time really does fly by when you are having fun. She has devlopoed so much in the past couple of months. She can now walk down the stairs by holding the railing instead of going down on her tummy. She loves to count( not always in order) but she knows all her numbers to ten. She loves animals and like to tell them what to do at all times...Sit, go outside etc.:)She might be a Vet one day. Here's some updated pics of our little munchkin

Black Eye

So here is a close up of Stella's black eye....and it didn't happen on my watch thankfully. She fell off of the ladder climbing up to the slide. It happened while she was at Rose's house(daycare). She said that she only cried for a second and then was right back on the ladder. She is a tom-girl who loves to play outside any chance she gets.

She has adjusted awesome to her new daycare. She gets a lot of stimulation at the new place where they do baby yoga, karate and music every week. Also, rose sends us pictures of all their activities during the day. We are so glad she has adjusted so well. We love it!

Stella's- 17 months (18 month check up)

On Wednesday I took Stella for her wellness check up. Since we moved we also found a pediatrician that is closer to our house. There was a 2 month wait to get in so she missed her 15 month check up. They went ahead and treated it like her 18 month check up since she is closer to 18 months. The Doc said she looks great so that was good to hear.

Weight 25 ibs 15.6 oz 75%
Length 32 inches 75%

We have really enjoyed her toddler days. Stella constantly keeps David and I laughing with her quirky observations and the words that pop out of her mouth. The Doc seems to think she is a big talker with a lot of teeth. She has 12 teeth. The front top 4, front bottom 4 and 4 molers in the back. She repeats most words that we say. They don't always sound exact but she makes an attempt. Her favorite words are Dada, Mama, NO!(while pointing her finger at you), sausage, shoe, mil (milk), water, Henry( her boyfriends name), apple, banana, more(she does the sign too). She likes say and show where her nose, mouth, eyes, ears, hair and feet are.

Today she was running around with her arms under her pitts acting like a monkey. I have no idea who taught her that but it was really funny.

She eats about anything but loves nothing more then Milk. In fact the doctor said we really shouldn't let her drink more then 24 ounces a day. If there was a milk drinking competition for babies ...Stella would be an amazing competitor. She loves brocoli, turkey saugsage and mandarine oranges.

We also started Soccer this month which has been a hoot. Stella's favorite part is running as fast as she can. It seems like it took her forever to walk(12.5 months) but once she started it's now a full blown sprint.

We are really enjoying the toddler years and feel blessed to see the world for the 1st time through a toddlers eyes.

Our little Snow Bunny

It was the first day of spring this weekend and irnonically we got a bunch of snow in Kansas City. On one hand we are really craving warm weather in KC. However, it was nice that Stella got to play in the Snow for the first time!! It didn't last long...little miss priss just didn't like being cold. Can't say that mama blames her.

Sitting Pretty

Stella got a new chair for Valentine's Day and just can't get enough. It's so cute to see her take all her books and toys and put them in her chair. She has now even decided to try and climb onto every chair in the house.

Christmastime in 2009

We spent Christmas Eve over at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

We moved on Dec 22nd, but decided it was important to put up a Christmas Tree for Stella. Santa still came eventhough the house was still in boxes.

Daddy's Girl

Apple bottom jeans and boots with the fur

The boxes were more exciting for her then any of the toys.

Happy New Year

My New Year Resolution is to post on our blog more frequently. After catching alot of "heat" from my friends who live in other places. I know that the last post has been since Halloween which is just extremely too long. We have been really busy the last couple of months. We sold our house and had a short time to find a new one. Most of our weekends were allocated to finding a new home. We finally moved on Dec. 21st, right before Christmas. We are thrilled to be in our new home and excited to see Stella walk around and explore the new territory.

So what's been going on with Stella since Halloween?

She turned 1 on Nov. 28th. We celebrated here the weekend before Thanksgiving and then in Houston the week after Thanksgiving. She started taking a few steps right after she turned one and by mid December she was walking all over the place. Now she runs all over the place and we are constantly chasing her to make sure she doesn't bump her head. Her new thing is the stairs, she loves going up and down about a million times. She is really fast going up but we are still working on going down safely.
